ON-LANG Language School

Terms & Conditions for Online Language Lessons

These Terms & Conditions apply to online language lessons provided by On-lang Language School, owned by Ewelina Woźniak, Møllehatten 9, 1.6, 8240 Risskov, Denmark, CVR No. 44846438, e-mail: kontakt@onlang.dk.

In these Terms & Conditions, On-lang Language School is referred to as the School, and the person purchasing or participating in the lessons is referred to as the Student.

1. General Provisions

On-lang Language School offers individual and duo online language lessons with a focus on flexible and personalised learning programmes.

The lessons are provided on the basis of an individual agreement between the Student and the School. Course information, including the language, level, teacher, lesson schedule, number of lessons and price, is specified in the individual Course Agreement.

The agreement between the Student and the School is concluded when the Student has accepted the Course Agreement and these Terms & Conditions, and the School has received the necessary information. Payment shall subsequently be made in accordance with Section 7.

The School reserves the right to reject an enrolment if it is not possible to provide a suitable learning programme.

2. Delivery of Lessons

Lessons are conducted online, primarily via Zoom.

Each lesson lasts 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Student and the School.

The Student is responsible for ensuring access to a stable internet connection, a computer, tablet or smartphone, as well as a camera, microphone and speakers or a headset.

It is recommended that the camera remains switched on during lessons to enable the teacher and the Student to communicate as effectively as possible.

The School undertakes to provide a qualified teacher and to tailor the lessons to the Student's language level and learning objectives.

3. Scheduling and Flexibility

Lesson times are agreed individually between the Student, the teacher and the School.

If the Student's needs or circumstances change, the School will make every reasonable effort to find a solution that is suitable for both parties.

Any changes to the lesson schedule must be agreed between the Student and the School or the teacher.

4. Cancellation and Illness

Cancellation by the Student

If the Student wishes to change or cancel a lesson, the School or the teacher must be informed as soon as possible.

If a lesson is cancelled no later than the day before the scheduled lesson, the Student will normally be offered a new lesson time by agreement.

If a lesson is cancelled on the day of the lesson, the lesson will generally be regarded as completed. However, the School may, at its sole discretion, offer a replacement lesson in exceptional circumstances.

In the event of sudden illness, the Student may contact the School. In such cases, the School may, at its sole discretion, offer to reschedule the lesson.

A replacement lesson should normally be completed within seven days of the original lesson date.

If the Student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be regarded as completed.

Cancellation by the School

If the teacher is unable to conduct a lesson, the School will offer either a replacement lesson, an alternative teacher or another suitable lesson time.

The School will make every reasonable effort to find a solution as quickly as possible.

5. Holidays and Public Holidays

Official Danish public holidays are generally non-teaching days.

Lessons on public holidays may, however, be agreed individually between the Student and the School.

The School generally observes a summer break during the month of July. Lessons in July may nevertheless be offered by separate agreement between the Student and the School.

6. Validity of Lessons

Lessons are sold as lesson packages (clip cards) consisting of either 4 or 8 lessons.

For individual lessons, purchased lessons should generally be used within six months from the date of purchase.

If special circumstances apply, the School may, at its sole discretion, extend this period.

A lesson is considered completed when it has been held or when, under these Terms & Conditions, it is deemed to have been completed.

7. Payment

Payment for the lessons must be made in advance.

Payment must be received before the first scheduled lesson unless otherwise agreed with the School.

Payment may be made using the payment methods offered by the School, including bank transfer or other available payment solutions.

If payment is not received on time, the School is not obliged to commence the lessons.

8. Termination of the Course

If the Student wishes to discontinue the lessons before all purchased lessons have been completed, the School may, at its sole discretion, offer a refund for lessons that have not yet been completed.

Any refund will be assessed individually by the School, taking the specific circumstances into account.

9. Right of Withdrawal

For agreements concluded online, the Student generally has a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date the agreement is concluded.

If the Student wishes the lessons to begin before the expiry of the withdrawal period, the Student must expressly accept this.

If the Student exercises the right of withdrawal after the lessons have begun, the School is entitled to payment for the lessons that have already been completed.

Notice of withdrawal must be submitted in writing to kontakt@onlang.dk.

10. Personal Data

On-lang Language School processes personal data for the purpose of administering the course, communicating with the Student, handling payment and invoicing, and delivering the lessons.

The School may process the following information:

  • name and contact details;
  • information relating to the course, including language, level and learning objectives;
  • payment and invoicing information;
  • date of birth for the purpose of determining the correct tax treatment of the lessons, including the assessment of any VAT exemption.

The School uses relevant digital tools for teaching, administration and communication, including, among others, Zoom, e-mail services, Lumant, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Billy accounting software, payment solutions and other necessary administrative systems.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation.

The Student has the right to access their personal data, request rectification or erasure, request restriction of processing, and lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

11. Recording of Lessons

To protect the privacy of both the Student and the teacher, lessons may not be audio- or video-recorded by the Student.

Lessons may only be recorded by the School with prior agreement and the consent of all participants.

12. Inappropriate Behaviour

The School is committed to maintaining a respectful and safe learning environment.

If the Student displays offensive, threatening or repeatedly disruptive behaviour, the School may terminate the lessons.

As a general rule, the School will first make the Student aware of the issue and seek to find a suitable solution.
